Acacia’s DMT® technology covers the transmission and receipt of pre-recorded, compressed digital content. This includes basic, non-live cable programming, pay-per-view, video-on-demand, and digital advertising insertion services.

For most cable companies, content files are digitized and compressed by a content originator or aggregator. The compressed files are transmitted to the cable head-end and are then sent to the home in either analog or digital format. This process is covered by Acacia’s DMT technology.
